Kai grew up on the Coal Coast, south of Sydney, and started writing songs there. He plays country and folk, on his own or with a full band.
A lot of the writing happens away from home too, up in the Snowy Mountains and during time spent in Utah and Nebraska. The songs come from the people and places he's around.
He's working on his first record now.
